Brad Pitt’s Watch In World War Z Movie

What do you need besides a gun and an axe for slashing down zombies? Yes, you need a zombie survival watch. Former United Nations investigator Gerry Lane played by Brad Pitt got just that to help him stop a zombie pandemic in apocalyptic horror film World War Z (2013).

The watch was actually researched and recommended by costume designer Mayes C. Rubeo who went around looking for a new and upcoming watch company. The watch that Brad Pitt was wearing is the Terra Cielo Mare Orienteering PVD watch. The company that created this watch, Terra Cielo Mare (TCM) which stands for Earth, Sky and Sea in Italian is an independent watchmaker from Italy that makes Swiss-made timepieces built with superior materials like scratch-resistant sapphire and quality steel case.

This watch is built for the explorers and sailors from the 13th to 20th century. The ORIENTEERING model is unique in the sense that you can find your facing position by manually turning the internal rotating lunette to determine the North position based on where the sun is. Who needs electronic or magnetic tools when the world is coming to an end. Apart from that, this is a mechanical self-winding movement that has a calendar as well. Built with a cool black PVD steel case, it comes with a matching leather strap though the strap seems to be different than the one worn in the movie.

I must say the watch looks really good on Brad in the movie. Check out the shots below of him in action with the watch below:-
