Brian McKnight is one of my favourite R&B singers and when I was watching one of his music videos Back At One, can’t help but notice his striking wrist watch as his fingers were waltzing through the grand piano being the watch nerd I am. After researching a bit, it seems like a Breitling Bentley Supersports ISR. It seems to be a limited edition automatic chronograph watch which comes in a titanium case. Check out his wrist watch in the video below:-
This watch was meant to commemorate an ice speed record(hence the name ISR) set by Finland’s four-time world rally champion Juha Kankkunen in a Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible. Apparently he drove the biofuel-powered 6-litre, 12-cylinder Continental Supersports convertible on the perilous frozen Baltic Sea, off the coast of Finland achieved a speed of 330.695 km/h. Here’s the video of that crazy feat:-
The watch is huge measuring at 49mm but thanks to the titanium case should not feel as heavy as it looks. It’s powered by an automatic Breitling B27 movement which is a modified ETA 2892-A2. The movement is also officially chronometer-certified by the COSC. It has a 42 hours power reserve and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour. It has a screw-locked crown which helps it to achieve a 100 meters water resistance.
The dial has a carbon fiber texture together with strong red colored sub-dials. The date window is located at the 6 o’clock. It does look like there’s luminous markers for both hours and hands though not much. The Breitling ISR comes with a durable looking black rubber strap and limited to 1,000 pieces at a hefty $10,450 price tag. Check out other Breitling Bentley Supersports watches at Amazon.
