Now this is not something you see everyday. If this Russian luxury phone and case company wanted attention they definitely got it with this watch case for the newly released iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. I’ve never heard of Caviar before this but checking their website does show some very premium exotic designs with mainly Apple products such as the latest iPhones. They not only manufacture unique watch cases with precious stones and metals but also completely rework the body of an iPhone or the Apple Watch.
Their latest offering called the Grand Complications Skeleton is a watch case that has a working skeletonized mechanical movement. The movement is a modified ETA Unitas 6498-1 with a manual winding crown as well. With 17 stones and 18,000 vibrations per hour, it also has a power reserve of 30 hours.
This is probably targeted for people who have too much cash to spare and want their smartphones to scream luxury. There’s a limited run for these watch cases where you get to choose from Black and Gold, Rose Gold and Titanium. It’s bundled together with the latest iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max model of your choice and prices start from $5,990.00. Oh and don’t accidentally put this on a wireless charging pad which has magnetic fields, you’ll probably end up with a timepiece that doesn’t tell the time well. Not that it matters for this.
