In this 2011 romantic comedy movie, Justin Timberlake plays as Dylan Harper who’s an art director from Los Angeles and is persuaded by Jamie Rellis who’s an executive recruiter to take on a job at GQ magazine. After a number of broken romances, Dylan and Jamie decided that they are ready to quit looking for true love and focus on having fun. Things get complicated when they both add sex to their friendship.
Only managed to watch this movie recently and while enjoyable overall I was fixated by the rugged looking watch worn by Justin Timberlake in the movie. After some researching and some screen shots, the watch seems to be the Breitling Chronomat 44 B01. The one worn in the movie seems to be a white dial version and looks great and versatile in formal, smart casual and even casual outfit. Loved how Justin dressed in the movie and paired it nicely with a wrist band.
There’s a variety of Breitling Chronomat 44 but I would think that it’s the reference AB0110-045 white dial version. This beefy watch measures at 44mm as the collection name suggests and is also quite thick at 16.95mm. This chronograph watch has three subdials and is powered by the Breitling in-house calibre B01 self-winding mechanical movement which has a power reserve of around 70 hours. The movement is COSC certified and beats at 28,800 bph. The Breitling Chronomat 44 is also built like a tank as it’s water resistant up to 500 meters and comes with screw-locked crown. It also has a scratch resistant sapphire crystal and has a date complication at 4 o’clock. The lug width is 22mm and it should come with a stainless strap but in the movie it’s paired with a nice black leather strap. If you’re interested, check out the Chronomat 44 collection at Amazon.
